The well-known businessman Stavros Papaioannou was the creator of Stavros Papaioannou Group of companies. His career path towards the expansion and succession of the group is impressive and is worth mentioning.

Mr. Papaioannou, who was always considered to be a pioneer in the furniture manufacturing industry in Cyprus, originally started as a furniture craftsman. He was soon operating successfully a furniture workshop in Anexartisias street in Limassol back in the 1947. The rapid development and growth of his business both in manufacturing and importing furniture, soon gained high reputation all over the island. As a result Stavros Papaioannou Ltd Company was established in 1976.

Mr. Papaioannou's next step was to extend his activities in the tourist sector and for this purpose he acquired extensive land for development. The construction and management of Cynthiana Beach Hotel was the first major involvement of his group in the tourist sector. Since then the group has expanded and today owns all of the above companies.
